Taylor appointed to bring Nest message to market

Former Widows corporate pensions market director John Taylor has joined Nest as managing director, customer and proposition, replacing Helen Dean, who moves to become managing director, product and operations.

Taylor was at Widows from 2007 to 2012, following a 13-year stint at Standard Life where he worked on corporate pensions and wrap.

Nest chief executive, Tim Jones, says: “John will be taking the message about Nest and where we fit in to employers, other providers and intermediaries. He will also be raising awareness with consumers and helping us to hone our messages for members. His background makes him a perfect fit for this role and we are very pleased to have him.’

Taylor says: “Helping employers, providers and intermediaries understand where Nest fits in, and its unique features, is a wonderful challenge. I’m particularly looking forward to working with such a large, diverse audience and, at the same time, correcting any misconceptions about Nest. We also need to raise awareness amongst consumers and help members understand what it means to be in a pension.”
