Standard Life has appointed of two new senior business development managers to its workplace business following last week’s recruitment of Barry O’Dwyer as managing director of workplace.
Peter Kane joins as senior business development manager within the provider’s large employer team and will be responsible for relationships with prospective large employer clients. Kane most recently held the position of partner and new business director at Hymans Robertson and reports to Alan Reid, workplace distribution director.
Martyn Chappell joins as senior business development manager reporting to Martin Trenchard, head of the partnered business development team in the provider’s workplace division. Chappell has been a business consultant with Standard for twelve years.
O’Dwyer’s arrival from Prudential, where he was deputy chief executive, UK and Europe, was announced last week. He began his financial services career at Standard where he trained as an actuary and during 19 years with the company he held a number of senior management positions in both the UK and Ireland, most recently as managing director, marketing.
