Standard Life is appointing former Aviva head of distribution and business development Patrick Granger as senior business development manager in its workplace business.
Granger will report to Martin Trenchard, head of the partnered business development team, and will be responsible for supporting and further developing relationships with corporate advisers.
Trenchard says: ”Following the successful implementation of auto enrolment, many large employers will be looking to their corporate adviser for on-going support and advice on their employee benefits strategy. Patrick and the team are working closely with these advisers to ensure they maximise the return on their clients’ benefits spend.
“Patrick brings with him a wealth of knowledge of this sector, having spent 25 years in the pensions, benefits and investment markets and we are delighted he is joining our team.”
Granger says: “Standard Life is firmly committed to the UK corporate market. As other providers find it increasingly difficult to compete in the post-RDR landscape, Standard Life has shown considerable vision in leading the market through product innovation and a solution-based approach to the large employer space. I’m delighted to be joining such a strong team at a time of considerable market change.”
