NU Healthcare offers enhanced protection

Norwich Union Healthcare has introduced an enhanced service on its group income protection policies held by large corporate clients.

The enhancements include a consultative service that offers ongoing analysis of the GIP scheme enabling clients to track trends in claims as well as advice on ways to improve the scheme.

The service, called Key Account Solutions offers tailored claim reports to facilitate analysis of the claims experience, two meetings a year with a designated manager to review performance and dedicated contacts within the company.

The provider says employee sickness absence is currently costing British businesses £12.2bn a year.

Nick Homer, senior propositions development manager at Norwich Union Healthcare says: “Key Account Solutions uses our wellness expertise to help our clients identify trends in claims and subsequent actions that can be taken to improve the performance of the scheme and the health of their workforce.”
