Regulator goes on secondment at LCP

Darran Burton, The Pensions Regulator’s head of DC regulation, has joined LCP on a part-time secondment.

The fact-finding secondment started on April 2 and will run initially for 6 months.

Burton joins LCP’s DC consulting team, headed by LCP partner Chris Clough, and offer clients trustee training and first-hand insight into the implementation of the DC code of practice.
Burton says: “I very much welcome the opportunity to work with LCP. Understanding their challenges can only help us to improve the governance of UK DC provision.”

Chris Clough, LCP partner and head of DC consulting added: “Darran’s knowledge of DC regulation is unrivalled and, along with his experience of the regulatory landscape, his contribution at LCP will be of huge value to both the DC consulting team and to our clients, who will benefit directly from Darran’s insight and advice.”
TPR HR director Una Mills says: “Our secondment programme provides opportunities for our employees to gain front line experience in the industry, and ensures that our knowledge and understanding of the community we regulate remains current, up-to-date and commercially focused.”
